When I find an exquisite vintage frame, it directs the art. This frame was likely from the 30s — sourced from a favorite estate art resource: Lost Art Salon in San Francisco. Its curved corners and storied patina inspired a painting with an ethereal and amorphous quality...the implication of shapes that float, with no hard edges. This piece was finished with a high-gloss top layer so when you catch the artwork in just the right light, there is a surprise dimensionality that’s revealed.
