This painting was inspired by a stunning clash of colors - as many of my paintings are. In the lobby of my hotel in NYC a woman walked past a mahogany paneled wall in a memorable mulberry colored silk dress. My view was interrupted by a flash of cream...or was it biscuit. This palette and that moment felt lush and storied, modern and provocative at the same time.
“Grenada” is an interpretation of that moment.
